Want to be well prepared at the start of the Zandvoort Light Walk? Plan your journey in advance and use our tips.
Bicycle or on foot
If you live in Zandvoort or nearby and are in the position to come to the start location by bicycle or on foot, we kindly ask you to do so. This will prevent crowds around the station and the parking lots.
Train
The start and finish location is easily accessible by public transport. From Zandvoort aan Zee station, it is a 600-meter walk to the start at the Louis Davids Carré.
Pay close attention to what time your start is and which train is best for you to take. Plan your journey via ns.nl or 9292.nl and also make sure to check what time your last bus or train departs from Zandvoort afterwards.
Bus
Several Connexxion scheduled buses run from the direction of Amsterdam and Haarlem to Zandvoort. Line 80 runs between Zandvoort and Amsterdam Elandsgracht and line 81 runs between Zandvoort and Haarlem Station.
Car | Paid parking
Are you coming by car? Please keep in mind that there is paid parking in Zandvoort. You can park at:
- Parking lot De Zuid
- De Favaugeplein
- Parking bays along the boulevard (ideal if you are coming from Bloemendaal)
Please take into account the opening hours of the parking garages in Zandvoort. Not all garages are accessible 24 hours a day.
Please note: During the Zandvoort Light Walk, the P Centrum Garage (Louis Davids Carré) is not available for parking.
Return journey
It can be a bit busier at the station and on the road after the Zandvoort Light Walk. Pay close attention to the departure time of your last train or bus from Zandvoort. The last two trains from Zandvoort aan Zee to Amsterdam Centraal depart at 23:49 and 00:51. Always check your route beforehand via your Travel Planner, so you won't be faced with surprises.
